Drew and I had the privilege of being Nick and Zoie's wedding photographers this winter. (Relive their wedding in this blog post and relive their engagement photos in this blog post!) I'm always SO humbled whenever I get to keep taking pictures of my couples turned friends! These three are just the best! We always have the best time together, the 4 of us are totally kindred spirits. Like us, they love traveling, exploring new places, good wine, being outside, telling stories, caring for other people, fighting for justice, laughing lots, and making their friends feel loved. It took us a while to start taking pictures because were all just standing chit chatting haha, that's the best sign! Melvin, the English Bulldog, was a trooper in the Miami heat and loved playing model! They wanted, "we're happy, we're healthy, we're still so in love" pictures. Yes, please! I loved this park with the mid of palm trees, white winding paths, open fields, and the marina. Drew was there to help! He's the best and I always love having him there to support me. We of course followed pictures with drinks that the best outdoor drink spot in Coconut Grove, Glass & Vine. I can't wait to document more chapters of your beautiful lives and hopefully do some more exploring with y'all! 

E+E are friends of ours from work and I was so happy when they asked me to document such a special chapter! I love maternity photos and what a joy it is to be celebrating a growing family! She's a psychologist and he's a chiropractor, so this loving, selfless, healer, helper, power couple was a joy to work with! We chased the sun and wandered around the closed down golf course. We got cute moments, goofy moments, and fun action moments. I adored her emerald green dress from Dalliance Bespoke, and was so thrilled she jumped in the pool with it too! Any time I can break out my drone I'm a happy artist! I love every frame because they were their genuine, fun, and carefree selves. Thank you so much for this fun afternoon! 

Megan and Brandon met in college, went their own ways, then came back together and committed to forever together! We had the best time running around South Beach's most beautiful park. Surrounded by palm trees and turquoise waters, we talked about home renovations, college, and life to come as parents. I love living in Miami and the beautiful people I get to meet. They are so chill and down to earth, when it started raining they were like, "no worries!" and we all ran into the ocean! They will be, and already are, the best parents :) 

Lenya and her husband take a trip every year to celebrate their anniversary, and they bring the kids along too!! This inspiring couple is celebrating year 5 with a trip to Italy before baby boy #3 joins the family! Lenya is a florist from California (check out her work HERE) and I'm always so humbled when fellow wedding vendors want to work together. We met at the Spanish Steps, found cute side streets and a Vespa, walked to the Trevi Fountain where lots of coin throwing ensued. Then we found our way to the Pantheon for a crucial gelato break and more water fountain playing. My favorite family sessions are when the kids can just be themselves so I can capture those perfectly candid moments. Lenya and Curtis are so go with the flow, positive, and amazing models for how to travel as a family. Tickles and swinging and racing are my favorites! I love that they value family photos so much, I mean how nice is it that they have non-selfies at these incredible landmarks?! I so treasured spending the afternoon with these incredible parents and their world traveling kids! ​

When I first met tiny Luna in Coconut Grove, she was cruising around holding onto chairs and low tables. And then, a week later, just in time for her first birthday, she was a walking machine!! I had soooo much fun celebrating with this amazing family. Luna's grandmother and aunt flew in from all over the world to help wish her the happiest first birthday. Her mom and dad are just the most loving. Mom in hospitality and dad is a firefighter. I love that before they even met, they both wanted to name their future daughter Luna. So amazing God brought them together! Luna rocked her flower head band, cake crown, and adorable outfits form Cary's Treasures. I love the look on her face when cake arrives and she did not hesitate to get into that icing. The cake smash was a success! I have my dear friend Ixa to thank for connecting us!! Enjoy these amazing giggles and joyful adorableness! 

If you follow along, you know JC Raulston is my favorite place to shoot! As my move to Miami, Florida gets closer I treasure these wonderful stages on which to place my art. I can't wait to take all that I've learned as a part timer and apply it as a full time photographer and videographer in South Beach! I'm so excited to show off Miami and South Florida weddings. If anyone has favorite photography locations in For Lauderdale, Hialeah, or Hollywood I'd love to hear them!

The arboretum flowers were in full bloom and the cloud cover was just right. Perfect ingredients for another fun Raleigh family session. The Clary's are so amazing. They're warm, gentle, and so much fun! It was so easy to capture the joy in this beautiful family and all the fun candid moments with their little one. Can we all just swoon over his tiny fedora and itty bitty two front teeth too?!

I was so blessed when previous clients love my work so much they refer their friends! The Fan's and the Le's have been friends through high school and college. (You can check out the Fan's family photo shoot at the Museum of Art HERE).  I love how these two families prove that friendship lasts through moves, kids, and years. The kids were such a joy. The older siblings loved their little soooo much they have to rotate who gets to sit next to her in the car. Soo cute!

We visited the Historic Oak View Park in southeast Raleigh. (Here's the brochoure) If you haven't been you should check it out! It was a working farm for 150 years and now you can explore cotton fields and pecan groves, check out the historic buildings and agricultural practices, and pet goats!

I had an amazing privilege of getting to hang out with this amazing family!! So much life and love on this fall morning. We ventured to the NC Botanical Garden and found an amazing clearing full of autumn colors and room to run around. As recent transplants to the area, they wanted a "North Carolina" backdrop. I'm so happy our state showed off her brilliance today for this gorgeous bunch :) We threw leaves, ran across bridges, and giggled a ton!

I really like capturing the candid moments and genuine personalities of each member. We got a few nice Christmas Card ready family photos, plus a bunch of unposed glorious moments.

The Fans are amazing! With our Tar Heel connection firmly established, we ventured to the NC Museum Of Art's park. (You should look at it from the birds eye view in Google Earth and you'll see a hidden message). I love being able to meet new people and talk about life as we explore new places. So it was wonderful getting to know them and hear their stories. Their love for God and family is so contagious and awe-inspiring. It was truly and honor to capture these beautiful people! 

I love these four sooooooo much. It's been a dream of mine to photograph in Merritt's Pasture at sunrise. It's no secret that I love Pride & Prejudice and I adore those amazing scenes where Keira Knightly is walking through meadows with dew heavy on the grass and the sun wraps around her gorgeous self. So, that was totally my inspiration for this sun filled family session. 

This was actually the third time I've been blessed to take pictures of this amazing family. HERE's the first time at the NC Botanical Garden when Kai was really tiny. 
HERE's the second time at Hank Anderson Park when Kai was a little bit older. 

Today, he's the best big brother to the super adorable Ezra.
