If you follow along, you know JC Raulston is my favorite place to shoot! As my move to Miami, Florida gets closer I treasure these wonderful stages on which to place my art. I can't wait to take all that I've learned as a part timer and apply it as a full time photographer and videographer in South Beach! I'm so excited to show off Miami and South Florida weddings. If anyone has favorite photography locations in For Lauderdale, Hialeah, or Hollywood I'd love to hear them!

The arboretum flowers were in full bloom and the cloud cover was just right. Perfect ingredients for another fun Raleigh family session. The Clary's are so amazing. They're warm, gentle, and so much fun! It was so easy to capture the joy in this beautiful family and all the fun candid moments with their little one. Can we all just swoon over his tiny fedora and itty bitty two front teeth too?!

I love these four sooooooo much. It's been a dream of mine to photograph in Merritt's Pasture at sunrise. It's no secret that I love Pride & Prejudice and I adore those amazing scenes where Keira Knightly is walking through meadows with dew heavy on the grass and the sun wraps around her gorgeous self. So, that was totally my inspiration for this sun filled family session. 

This was actually the third time I've been blessed to take pictures of this amazing family. HERE's the first time at the NC Botanical Garden when Kai was really tiny. 
HERE's the second time at Hank Anderson Park when Kai was a little bit older. 

Today, he's the best big brother to the super adorable Ezra.

​I was sooo happy when Nada contacted me to take portraits of their growing family! We ventured to JC Raulston Arboretum in the morning and all 6 of us chased butterflies and started looking for our first location the vast park.

​One thing I've learned about family photography is to always be go with the flow. We planted in the first field we came to and stayed there the whole hour! It turned out perfect. The wise Ahmad and Nada brought snacks and entertainment so we were able to set up a recharge base for the kids which allowed us to get every family member combination. I love how the siblings t-shirts all match!

Ahmad was soo incredibly energetic with his kids, I was so lucky to capture to stunning candids. It's so clear they love their dad! And Nada was positively glowing with her beautiful newborn. Those blue eyes! And her pink dress matched pink flowers we found! My heart.

​I love the energy and gentleness this family has. They're my new heroes. 

Today I actually did 2 shoots in one day! I went to the Roth's in the morning and then ventured to Dottie and Brook's farm in the afternoon. It was an amazing day.

Ximena and Andrew are wonderful homegroup (bible study) leaders at my church, Greenleaf. Andrew is a prayer warrior and constantly asks what I need prayer for. Ximena has the most heavenly voice and gives super real and helpful advice. I was so happy they trusted me to take photos to their adorable son! He likes to join us at homegroup and likes to eat the sheet music when we're not looking. Hehe. I love hablando espanol with him and Ximena :)

For this shoot, I used the window natural light in the tiny nursery, but also focused on his adorable details like tiny toes and fragile fingers. Doesn't he make your heart melt? It was so hard just picking a few favorites! Love these 3.
