 Saxapahaw & The Haw River - North Carolina Wedding PhotographerI just posed soooo many photos of these two lovebirds. I was so honored to photograph this gorgeous day in Saxapahaw, NC by the famous music hall, the Haw River Ballroom. These are days where I can't believe I get to be a photographer in gorgeous North Carolina. The town's name gets it's meaning from the Catawban "piedmont or foothills" originally home to the Sissipahau Indians, and later, the river was dammed and used by textile mills. These two Alaskans had such an adventurous spirit and contagious smiles. Sarah is a sommelier and brought some bubbly to get the party started. We explored the trails, the fields, the dam water fall, and the textile's brick courtyards. I love how this series captures their playfulness and deep passion for the outdoors and eachother.
