Campus Harvest is this amazing conference that invites students from all over the country to come for a weekend of worship, workshops, and unity under Christ. When I was student at UNC, I tried to go every year. It was an incredible time to refocus and truly encounter the Holy Spirit. We also heard from incredible speakers and we got to pick which 'classes' we wanted to attend. I also met great friends from all over I still keep up with.
Campus Harvest started in 1990 as a way for the local church to get involved with campus missions. Ron Lewis, founding pastor of King’s Park International Church in Durham, North Carolina, started the annual student conference with the mission to “Revolutionize Campus Ministry by Mobilizing the Local Church.”
Taking photos was a surreal time of worship behind the lens. To feel the energy in the room and then to capture the moment was this beautiful dance I could get caught up in forever...
Classic Beauty, Inside & Out
Matt and Marta are perfect.
We went to UNC together and were all a part of the Athletes In Action community. AIA is a campus ministry for Varsity Athletes. Matt was the manager of the men's lacrosse team and Marta played field hockey. Matt is so beyond thoughtful. He sent a card and flower to my family when there was a medical emergency. Marta is the sweetest and is such a strong woman of God. So you can see, they're a power couple.
So I was soooo thrilled to take their engagement photos!
We explored the Carolina Outdoor Education Center, aka the Frisbee Golf Course. Then Marta's amazing landlord let us take photos in their amazing home. (Her landlords own the cutest fine gifst and interior shop in Chapel Hill called SOUTH). Arn't Matt and Marta just stunning? I still have their save the date photo on my fridge!
We're international husband & wife team Laura & Drew! We love chasing the sunshine, telling stories, and capturing forever memories with both photo & video! Here on the blog you'll find organic & candid moments Miami, Florida to Raleigh, North Carolina & beyond. Thanks for stopping by & enjoy!
